The STIHL FS 131 R is a powerful petrol brushcutter ideal for landscape maintenance. It is powered by a STIHL 36.3cc 4-MIX® engine and has a power output of 1.9hp. While the STIHL FS131R is a 2-stroke machine, it has a specially developed 4-MIX® engine. The STIHL 4-MIX® engine, which runs on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke, offers all the benefits without the compromises of 4-stroke power. STIHL 4-MIX® engine technology provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily. The FS 131 R also takes advantage of the STIHL Anti-Vibration system, when working for long periods of time intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHLs Anti-Vibration system dampens the oscillations from the machines engine which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles. This petrol brush cutter is easy to start thanks to the decompression system, the decompression valve allows some of the compression pressure in the cylinder to escape, so less force on the starter rope is needed. Additionally, a small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations. Controlling the FS 131 R couldn’t be easier thanks to the comfortable control panel placed above the loop handle, this placement means the operators hand never leaves the handle, making this brushcutter comfortable to work with, additionally, the loop handle provides excellent manoeuvrability in tight areas. Another great feature is the large 0.71l fuel tank which allows you to work for longer periods without stopping to re-fuel. This model is supplied as standard with an AutoCut C26-2 mowing head and a single strap harness. A metal grass cutting blade can be fitted to the FS 131 R to tackle thicker vegetation (available separately) Please note: A blade fitting kit and blade guard are required when fitting a metal grass cutting blade (available separately) All this is backed up by a 2 year manufacturers warranty.
