Description Shady Mix is a popular lawn seed blend of Tall Fescue and Kentucky Bluegrass made for highly shaded areas. This mix stays dark green year-round because it doesn’t go dormant in winter. It grows well in both sun and shade and spreads by bunching and rhizomes. The blend needs low maintenance but prefers moderate watering and feeding. Sow at 40 g/m² for new lawns and 25 g/m² for interseeding. Germination takes 1 to 2 weeks. It grows best when mowed between 3 to 5 cm.
