The working area of this Automower is defined by a boundary wire (not included) which is easily laid out around the desired area. Basically, the Automower system consists of 3 parts. The Automower, the charging station and the boundary wire. Charging Station All Husqvarna Automowers are supplied with a charging station. Automower will make its own way back to the station, as and when it requires. The charging station sends a signal through the boundary wire which helps to guide Automower. The ideal placement for the charging station is in a shady spot on flat ground. Boundary Wire The boundary wire acts like an electronic fence and defines the mowing area of the robotic lawn mower. The charging station sends a signal through the boundary wire. If Automower goes over the boundary line, it will stop, turn around and continue in another direction. Guide Wire Whilst guide wire isn't a required with Automower, it does open up a lot of possibilities. If you have a lawn with a remote, complex area or a small passage that is less than 6.5ft wide, its a good idea to connect a guide wire. Guide wires help the mower find the remote area and also helps find the fastest way back to the charging station.
