Corvée was a French term used in the Middle-Ages to describe the activities and work of the Vassals, who would work on the land of superiors for free in return of shelter and protection; this is how 400 Km of terraced cultivations originated in Val di Cembria. Today, local wine producers sharing the same core values use the term Corvée in name of a project that concentrates on the production of high quality Trentino D.O.C. wines with the particular focus on sustainability. Each wine produced displays the name of their vineyard on the label. The name of this Pinot Grigio vineyard means “man” in the local dialect in recognition of local farmers’ hard work. The resulting wine has delicate aromas of wildflower honey and pear, preceded by notes of toasted almonds and coconut milk. Elegant and long-lasting taste, it has a round and persistent flavour.
