A single V-belt drive between the engine and rotor provides smooth running and protects the engine against shock loads. The C4 features robust steel housing which is media blasted prior to powder coating for complete adhesion and a durable finish. The infeed chute is designed with the operator in mind and has a 50mm branch diameter capacity. It includes a large opening and is angled at a comfortable working height to make the most of its self-feeding action. The cutting knives shear the fed material against an adjustable, hardened anvil with a scissor like action. The draught action rotor allows the mulched material to be discharged directly from the outlet out to the side onto the ground. An optional debris bag is available for collection. Blockages are uncommon, but should you need to clear the housing or access knives for servicing, the C4 petrol chipper is designed to open easily and safely with the removal of four bolts.
